Over the
course of my career, I have looked at approaches and techniques
to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of process to attain
organizational goals. Starting with ERP (Enterprise Resource
Planning), SCM (supply Chain Management), KM (Knowledge
Management), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), DW&DM (Data
warehousing and Data Mining), BI (Business Intelligence) and now
to ICT4D (ICT for Development) and e-Everything, my exposure has
been really swift. Though, my target has been the processes, the
focus has always been on people, and technology, - has for all time
been the enabler.
I have great
faith in Information and Communication Technologies. Mainly, for
its intrinsic composition - Information, Connectedness and
Devices, and their amazing chemistry with people. The
composition unleashes the potential of ICTs, which results into
increase in supply of information, efficiency of analysis,
spread of information across traditional boundaries and
instilling openness.
In fact, in
my work, I bank on these potentials of ICTs to meet the
ideological requirements of the project concepts. I approach my
work from the perspective of creating value add, with the
knowledge of the ideas and strengths of the ICTs.
Because I
have exposure to different areas and in the ICT sector, I can
often spot trends and see opportunities that may not be as
obvious to people who are concentrated on a single effort. While
I always try to see the big picture, my strength comes from my
ability to capture the business requirements precisely.
Basically,
while the above is where I see my strengths, once I'm involved
with an organization I'll pretty much do whatever it takes (and
whatever I can) to help it become successful.
